Since this year we can also go to the shop for TCL televisions in the Netherlands and Belgium. The company immediately takes it big, because at IFA 2018 several new models have been announced. The absolute top model is an 8K QLED television that has to reach the European market sometime next year.

Of course we see the name QLED at Samsung, but the Korean manufacturer is not the only brand that uses this label. TCL also uses QLED for the LCD LED televisions that use a quantum dot filter. At IFA 2018 in Berlin, TCL announced a new line-up of 4K QLED TVs, and later a 8K Ultra HD variant with a size of 75-inch should appear.

The 8K television TCL comes with a wide color range, a brightness of 1000 nits, 832 local dimming zones, HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, and of course various smart features. In addition, the television has an audio solution developed by Onkyo, support for ‘virtual Dolby Atmos’ and an AI function that makes the speaker work when the TV is off. Nothing is known yet about the price.

At IFA 2018, several 8K televisions were announced. For example, Samsung announced the Q900R series and Sharp is soon launching its second generation 8K televisions.
