Sonos announced on Thursday that you can listen to the radio streaming service Sonos Radio HD ad-free and in high resolution. You can avail this service with Sonos S2 app.
Sonos Radio HD is ad-free and high resolution
Sonos Radio HD offers more exclusive content in the Sonos app and all radio stations are streamed in lossless audio quality. For Sonos users, fifty percent listen to radio. In addition, there is an annual increase of 40 percent in listening hours on Sonos worldwide. You will soon be able to subscribe to Radio HD to discover exclusive genre stations, more content from and about artists, and sounds to relax with and fall asleep to.
The HD radio service is ad-free and offers the option to skip or repeat songs. The service is available starting today on the Sonos S2 app in the US and UK for $ 7.99 or £ 7.99 per month after a 30-day free trial. The Netherlands will follow in 2021. It is not clear what the price will be exactly, but we will probably pay 7.99 euros here.
Sonos also presents six new radio stations. Radio à Gogo was designed for the Netherlands and filled by hand by radio DJ Sander de Heer with pop hits, unknown album tracks by favorite artists and good homegrown music from the sixties to the present day. The other local stations are: British Beats and Bars and UK Session Sounds in the United Kingdom, French Connection for France and German Zeitgeist and Hip-Hop Stammtisch in Germany.
Two new radio stations and a special Dolly Parton show will be available during the holiday season. Parton’s show is called the Holly Dolly Special. Dolly’s special can be heard on Holidaze in November and December. Holidaze is one of two new stations that show all kinds of Christmas hits. The other station, Holiday Concerto, offers instrumental versions of Christmas classics. There are also new genre stations on Sonos Radio to explore and rediscover the 1990s and the first decade of this century: 90s Mixtape and 00s On Shuffle.
