Samsung Galaxy S21 Unpacked event: After the Xiaomi Mi 11 was already presented on December 28, it is time for the Samsung Galaxy S21 next month. The Unpacked event is scheduled for January 14.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Unpacked event
The new top series of smartphones from Samsung is expected to be announced during this event and is the successor to the S20 series (see photo). The Unpacked event has the tagline ‘Welcome to Everyday Epic’. This time it is not a physical event. The press is therefore not present. This obviously has to do with the pandemic that we are still dealing with. The Samsung Unpacked event is a virtual event that you can also follow yourself via YouTube and other channels.
What do we know about the Samsung Galaxy S21 so far?
In recent weeks, there have been several leaks about the new S21 series. For example, there are expected to be three different smartphones that will be launched within the series. The regular device is expected to get an AMOLED screen of 6.2-inch (120Hz), the Galaxy S21 Plus is a bit larger with 6.7-inch. In addition, we do not expect a smaller model this time, but an Ultra model with a QHD + screen of 6.8 inches.
Although the series in the United States has the Snapdragon 888, in Europe we will probably have to do it again with Samsung’s own chip, the Exynos 2100. There is also a difference between the three smartphones in the field of camera options. Ultra model would get a 108 megapixel main camera with two telephoto lenses. The regular model and the Plus would have a main camera of twelve megapixel with an ultra-wide angle lens of twelve megapixel and a hybrid zoom lens of 64 megapixel.
Already for sale at the end of January?
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series is expected to be on sale at the end of January. For now we have to wait. The series will be presented by Samsung on January 14 and we will of course report on it.
