As of today, the rollout of the Apple TV app to the Sony XH90 has begun. Before the end of the year, the app will also be available on most 2020, 2019 and some 2018 models.
Apple TV app for Sony XH90 series
Today it was announced that the Apple TV app is coming to Sony televisions immediately. The collaboration had been announced a while ago, but an exact date was not yet known. Today came one press release from Sony out that the rollout has begun:
Sony Europe today announced that customers can now access the Apple TV app on select Sony smart TVs to enjoy Apple TV +, Apple TV channels, new and popular movies, and personalized and curated recommendations. The Apple TV app will start rolling out today in Europe on Sony’s XH90 series via a software update.
So the rollout of the Apple TV app starts today for the Sony XH90 series via a software update. Sony also announced that the app will also come to most 2019 and 2020 models. Some 2018 models will also get the app. It is currently unclear which televisions this all concerns.
