If we are to believe the latest rumors, Google officially brings the YouTube app to the Nintendo Switch this week. The video streaming service has been spotted on the Nintendo website. Officially there is unfortunately nothing known about it.

YouTube on Nintendo Switch – rumor

Because Nintendo has put the Nintendo Switch as a game console on the market, and not as a multimedia device, the device does not have apps for music – or video streaming services (in Europe, there is at least one app available in America). But as it looks now, YouTube will be available for the hybrid game console from November 8th. The app of the service is published on the website of Nintendo of America, where the app is recommended as a suggestion as an available media application.

Nintendo of America director and -COO Reggie Fils-Aimé has already indicated in an earlier statement that eventually media apps will also come to the Nintendo Switch, but that there is still a lot of discussion behind the scenes. The reason that this rumor is now widely accepted has to do with the fact that the game Yoshi’s Crafted World also appeared on the official Nintendo website, just before the game was presented. Hopefully we can deliver positive news later this week.
