Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi TV Lux OLED announced to launch

Xiaomi announced on Monday that the company will bring both the Mi 11 smartphone and the Mi TV Lux OLED television to Europe.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has a camera module with three sensors on board. There is a 108-megapixel wide-angle camera sensor, as well as a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera and a five-megapixel tele macro lens. In front is a twenty megapixel front camera. The system includes an improved night mode. It offers raw-level noise reduction for clear images in low light.

There are also accessible functions based on artificial intelligence. With Parallel World, a scene can be duplicated and reversed to create a mirrored world. With Freeze Frame Video, video frames can be frozen and cloned to create the illusion that parts of your video are being frozen. In addition, there is the Magic Zoom mode. This mode creates the illusion that the camera is simultaneously zooming in and out on a scene, a trick that originally became popular in thrillers.

The Mi 11 offers support for HDR10 + recording and the new Pro-Time-lapse mode for adjusting shutter speed, ISO, aperture, EV and an option called AI Erase 2.0. This makes it possible to remove unwanted objects or lines in images with one click.

Xiaomi Mi 11 with high-end specs

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has an AMOLED screen of 6.81 inches. That screen has a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, a DisplayMate rating of A +, 10-bit color technology and a wqhd resolution. Thanks to Super Resolution technology, lower resolution videos are upgraded to wqhd + quality. The built-in fingerprint scanner has a sampling rate of 480 Hz. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. This chipset makes the Mi 11 more powerful and more efficient than its predecessor. The device not only supports 2K, 120fps and HDR gaming, but also features an octa-core design and Arm Cortex-X1 that greatly improves the performance. The 3,200 MHz LPDDR5 ensures very fast data transfer. This will increase from 5,500 Mbps to 6,400 Mbps.

Gaming and other intensive activities are no problem thanks to the latest LiquidCool heat dissipation system. And with a battery with a capacity of 4,600 mAh, the smartphone should last a long time. Charging is done via cable (55 W) or wireless (50 W). There is also 10 W reverse charging.

Software

MIUI 12.5 is an interim update of MIUI 12 with an emphasis on system optimizations. CPU usage has decreased by 22 percent and power consumption by 15 percent. In earlier systems, movements and other tasks were processed in such a way that the CPU usage was squeezed, but you may not notice that anymore. In MIUI 12.5 these movements have their own capacity, so other tasks do not have a negative influence.

Another important feature of MIUI 12.5 is non-installable system apps. The vast majority of apps in the new system can be deleted, while a small number of apps are stuck at the core of the system and can be hidden.

The first group of devices will receive the MIUI 12.5 update in the second quarter of 2021. These are the Mi 10T, 10T Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 11. The second group includes eleven other Xiaomi devices. All update data can be found at MIUI.com.

Xiaomi Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition

The Chinese manufacturer also announced that the Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition is coming to the Benelux. The model has a 55-inch screen and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. The Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition has a 10-bit color depth, a response time of 1 ms and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition can soon be seen in the MediaMarkt Amsterdam Arena. In addition to the Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition, Xiaomi is also introducing the Mi TV Q1 75 ”with 4K QLED Display in the Benelux this year.
