Apple update iOS: The fourth major update to Apple’s iPhone and iPad operating system iOS 14 is out. It concerns iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4. The update brings new camera warnings and fixes to several bugs within Apple’s operating system.
Apple update iOS 14.4
The update comes more than a month after the third major update, which brought a bit more fun. For example, iOS and iPadOS 14.3 included intercom support and emoji. iOS 14.4 is more about how the operating system works. Thus, the iPhone camera can now understand smaller QR codes. The phone also provides notifications when an iPhone has been repaired and the camera cannot be verified as a real camera (on iPhone 12).
iPhones running iOS 14.4 can also take better measurements of the audio level of the headphones. This concerns headphones from third parties that work with the iPhone via Bluetooth.
Bug fixes
Also when it comes to the bug fixes, there is also focus on the camera. The problems with which the iPhone 12 Pro struggles when it comes to HDR photos would have been fixed. In addition, the Fitness widget will update properly in many cases. A bug has also been reported where typing is delayed or word suggestions do not appear: that too should now be fixed.
The updates are free and can be downloaded by going to Settings> General> Software Update. It may be that your update does not have to start manually, because it is often sent over the air. If you want to read the full patch notes, you can do so on the website of Apple (English).
