Toshiba TV introduces new QLED and OLED televisions

Since 2021, the Toshiba brand has been part of the Turkish company Vestel and since that year Toshiba televisions have also been brought onto the market. This week, the company is launching a number of new models during IFA 2023, including QLED and OLED televisions.

This year, Toshiba TV again focuses on affordable televisions with premium features and various smart TV options. In the field of QLED (quantum dots and LED backlighting), Toshiba TV offers various options to consumers. You can choose from Google TV, Fire TV, Android TV, and the VIDAA smart TV platform.

Toshiba QV23 QLED VIDAA TV series

This series comprises 43-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch models. They all have the VIDAA smart TV platform, which provides access to popular apps such as Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. The televisions offer 4K resolution, HDR support, and an audio system that supports DTS Virtual: X.

Toshiba QG5E QLED Google TV series

The QG5E series comes in the same formats as the QV23 series, but as the name suggests, VIDAA has been replaced by Google TV. Furthermore, these models have HDMI 2.0 ports with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), HDR support, and 4K resolution.

Toshiba XA9D OLED TV series

At the top of the line-up, we see the XA9D OLED televisions. These models should offer the best 4K image quality and come in sizes from 42-inch to 65-inch. The televisions have support for IMAX Enhanced and DTS: X. Dolby Vision HDR is also supported. The HDMI 2.1 ports provide access to the latest features, including Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).

Toshiba’s new televisions should appear on the market later this year. Prices have not yet been announced.
