Toshiba XL9C series OLED televisions presented. The new models are equipped with latest technologies such as DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.

Toshiba XL9C series OLED televisions presented : Toshiba is back with a vengeance. at least; the brand is back. Vestel’s Turkish parent company bought the trademark rights a while ago and now also releases televisions in the Benelux. This week, the company announces the first OLED televisions under the Toshiba flag.

Toshiba will soon release the XL9C series oled televisions to the Europe.  The new models are equipped with a 100Hz OLED panel supplied by LG Display, the 4K resolution, voice control and support for both DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.

The Toshiba XL9C series consists of two models: a 55-inch variant and a 65-inch variant. Both OLED TVs offer support for HDR, in the form of Dolby Vision and HDR10+. There is also a Game Mode, with which games can be played at 100 fps and the inpt lag is minimized. HDMI 2.1 is present, including HDMI eARC and ALLM.

In terms of audio, the televisions are equipped with an Onkyo speaker system with support for DTS Virtual:X, DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. Under the hood we see Toshiba’s TRU Picture Engine, consisting of TRU Resolution, TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Flow. These techniques should ensure smooth and high-quality image quality.

Toshiba’s TVs come with their own smart TV system, with access to the most popular services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube. Voice control is also available in the form of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The XL9C series of OLED televisions from Toshiba should soon appear in Dutch and Belgian stores. Prices will be announced later.
