Music streaming service Tidal app on LG TVs with support for Dolby Atmos

Tidal app on LG TVs: Music streaming service Tidal has released a dedicated application for the TVs of the South Korean manufacturer.

Tidal app on LG TVs: If you own a modern LG television and you also have a subscription to the music streaming service Tidal, then we have good news. The service has released a dedicated application for the TVs of the South Korean manufacturer.

The app can be downloaded on televisions from 2018 to 2021 (and future models, of course), running webOS versions 4.0 to 6.0 (and of course the versions that will be released later). You can find the app in the LG Content Store, which you will find on the television.

To date, the service was absent from the TVs van LG. And that was a shame, since with an expensive subscription you get access to music in hi-fi quality. There is also support for Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, as well as Dolby Atmos. The Dolby Atmos is also getting bigger.

With the right subscription, the right TV and the right soundbar (or other sound system), it is therefore possible to listen to a large group of songs and albums in Dolby Atmos.

Dolby Atmos support was released by Tidal in 2019. The catalog includes remixes of older content such as Kraftwerk’s 3D The Catalog, Hans Zimmers Live in Prague and REM’s Automatic For The People (25th Anniversary Edition), as well as new hit like Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings, The Weeknds After Hours and more than fifty other playlists.
