Fortnite players are greeted today with the message that the Fortnite Playground Mode follows soon, presumably this week. This is a limited mode for the game, although it is not yet clear how long this mode will remain active.
Fortnite Playground Mode
With this announcement in-game we can expect the mode as fast as tomorrow. Epic Games never communicates when it is exactly, but in the past the update followed pretty quickly after announcement.
In this mode you can mainly practice and learn how to apply strategy. You will have a private island at your disposal and can try everything here. So all treasure chests and ammo crates are spawned and you respawn fairly quickly, ideal for practicing.
“Battle and build your heart’s content with an extended period of time around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin ‘in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on you so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but you will not be disappointed.
Note: Stats and Challenges will not be tracked in this mode. “
