TP Vision Philips and Bowers & Wilkins announce today to work intensively together to bring the optimal video and audio experience to the living room. The manufacturer of Philips televisions and the English manufacturer of loudspeakers expect to present their first joint product in September.

Cooperation Philips and Bowers & Wilkins

TP Vision and Bowers & Wilkins have agreed a multi-year exclusive collaboration to jointly develop quality products . It goes without saying that the collaboration is entirely focused on combining high-end sound and premium image.

One factor that, according to both parties, contributed to this collaboration is the long tradition both companies have when it comes to developing their own technologies, with full control over all stages of the development and production process. Martijn Smelt, Chief Marketing Officer of TP Vision, about the new collaboration,

As a sector, we have allowed far too long that sound remained the neglected child of the quality of TV. This gap manifested itself even more emphatically in comparison with the high quality of our OLED TVs. I think it’s fantastic that we have found a partner in Bowers & Wilkins, the world’s best sound quality company, with whom our top segment Philips TVs will also offer a unique top experience in terms of sound.

Richard Campbell, Chief Revenue Officer at Bowers & Wilkins;

This new partnership with TP Vision represents a great opportunity to redefine TV sound quality and performance standards. Thanks to the phenomenal new Philips TVs, our renowned audio quality will find its way to a new consumer audience that now can experience the incredible listening experience that only we can offer: “Sound by Bowers and Wilkins”.

The first result of this collaboration can we expect in September of this year, at IFA 2018 in Berlin.
