NEW VERSION OF DIRECT DRIVE THAT GREATLY IMPROVES PERFORMANCE

The SL-1200GR2/SL-1210GR2 (silver and black) models introduced by Technics this September are a new generation of the acclaimed SL-1200 and SL-1200GR turntables. This new version includes a revolutionary Direct Drive control method for smooth and precise rotational stability – a huge leap in performance compared to previous versions – and a new power supply. with an exceptionally low background noise level.

PRECISE CONTROL OF THE MOTOR AND ITS ROTATION SPEED

To optimize the motor control of the new Technics SL-1200GR2/1210GR2 turntables, new modulated signals and new 1 Bit D/A conversion (high precision) are used, patented technologies used in Technics amplifiers, “JENO Engine”. ”, fully digital that radically reduce engine vibrations.

This innovation has a significant impact, especially in the frequency range where motor vibrations overlap with the natural resonance of the arm and cartridge. As a result, amazing signal accuracy with precise soundstage as well as very low background noise is guaranteed.

Improved rotational speed detection and control, using a feedback system, ensures exceptional rotational speed precision in this new generation of Technics GR2 turntables.

INCORPORATION OF A NEW POWER SUPPLY WITH AN EXCEPTIONALLY LOW BACKGROUND NOISE LEVEL

Technics’ new SL-1200GR2/SL-1210GR2 turntable multi-stage silent power supply is a combination of a high-speed silent power supply operating at over 100 kHz and noise cancellation circuitry inherited from Technics’ reference turntable. Technics, the Reference Class SL-1000R, which cancels the remaining sound by injecting the reverse phase current of the real noise. Using this method, a very low noise floor is achieved, allowing for an exceptional signal-to-noise ratio, improving overall signal performance.

A NEW TOUCH-FRIENDLY CHASSIS SURFACE

The overall design of the new Technics turntable has been updated for a more refined and contemporary aesthetic, with a new combination of tones on the turntable elements and the addition of a new tactile chassis surface, which increases the appeal of the turntable.

Finally, most of the mechanical design of the new generation of GR2 turntables has been maintained compared to its predecessor, since the solid 2-layer lower chassis made of aluminum and BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) has been preserved, the combination of which allows high resistance to vibrations, the 2-layer plate made of aluminum and cushioned with heavy rubber, the highly sensitive S-shaped aluminum arm and the effective insulating feet.
