During IFA 2023, TCL showcased an extremely large television featuring mini LED backlighting and over 20,000 dimming zones. Last week, TCL unveiled several new mini-LED TV series during IFA 2023, including the X955 series that comes in sizes up to 98 inches. These televisions boast mini LED backlighting with over 5,000 Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) zones and peak brightness exceeding 5,000 nits. The X955 series is also equipped with QLED technology that produces more than a billion colors and a wide color gamut of 98% DCI-P3.
However, TCL also brought a 115-inch model from this series to Berlin and this extremely large television should also come to Europe next year. The television is equipped with no fewer than 20,000 dimming zones, has HDMI 2.1 and full HDR support, and according to the manufacturer, comes with a powerful audio system and should be an alternative for people who are actually looking for a projector. The price is an important factor, but TCL did not want to say much about it yet.
