TCL introduces new C-series TVs and new soundbars

TCL announced three new televisions and two new soundbars during a presentation at Milan Design Week. The Chinese company comes with the new C645, C745 and C845 series.

TCL C845 series

The top model for the moment is the new C845 series, consisting of LCD televisions equipped with a mini LED backlight. TCL says that it has once again improved the technology so that the brightness can be increased to 2000 nits. The number of gradations with which the miniLEDs can dim has also been increased to about a million, so that effects such as halos have even less chance.

The C845 series is based on TCL Mini LED and QLED technology, and supported by AiPQ Processor 3.0 image quality algorithms, optimizing contrast, brightness and motion. In addition, including Game Master Pro 2.0, HDMI 2.1, ALLM, 144Hz VRR, FreeSync Premium Pro, TCL Game bar, 240Hz Game Accelerator and the latest supported HDR formats (including HDR10 +, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ) the new TV should be ideal for sports and games as well as series and films. Google TV is available for smart TV, including the Google Assistant, and Dolby Atmos is supported in the field of audio. The C845 series is now available in 55”, 65”, 75” and 85” sizes.

TCL shows the number of zones of the new C745 and C845 series.

TCL C745 and C645

A step lower we see the C745 series and C645 series. The C645 Series combines QLED technology, 4K HDR Pro, 60Hz Motion Clarity for colorful sharp HDRimage quality. These models also come with Game Master, Google TV, FreeSync and support for the latest HDR formats (including HDR10 +, Dolby Vision). The C645 series will be available in screen sizes of 43”, 50”, 55”, 65”, 75” and 85”.

The C745 Series combines QLED with Full Array Local Dimming technology, 4K HDR Pro and 144Hz Motion Clarity Pro for smooth, sharp and colorful HDR image quality. In addition, the C745 series comes with Game Master Pro 2.0 – a collection of TCL software features tailored to optimize the gaming experience. Google TV is also present for access to popular streaming services, among other things. Unlike last year’s C73 series, the C745 series has to do without Onkyo certification, but according to TCL, the speakers offer comparable quality and Dolby Atmos is still supported. The C745 series is available in 55”, 65” and 75” sizes.

So gaming is an important part of TCL’s 2023 TV lineup. With a native 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz Game Accelerator, and low input lag (up to 5.67ms), gamers get smooth visual quality in games. In addition, the new Game Master Pro 2.0 mode makes it possible to unlock advanced display and technology settings, specially developed for games. Plus, with support for multiple HDR formats, such as Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+, the TVs can adapt to virtually any gaming source. Finally, ADM FreeSync technology enables seamless, artifact-free gameplay by syncing in real time at any game console or computer refresh rate.

TCL 2023 sound bars

In addition to new televisions, TCL also brings new soundbars to the Netherlands and Belgium. The S643W is a 3.1-channel soundbar with a wireless subwoofer and 240 watts of power. The S642W is a 2.1-channel variant that also includes a wireless subwoofer and a total of 200 watts of power. Both new models have a slim design, come with HDMI 1.4 (with ARC) and support both DTS Virtual:X and bluetooth 5.3.

Below you will find the suggested retail prices of all new models. In the second half of 2023, two more new top models will be added to the range, in the C9 series and X9 series.
