TCL is bringing a number of new TV series to Europe this year, including series that offer the 8K resolution, series that offer the 4K resolution and series that use the latest miniled technology from the manufacturer. Of course, HDMI 2.1 is also available and we see wide support for HDR.

The previously announced OD Zero’ technique for miniled also comes to European models. This technology ensures very slim televisions using thousands of tiny LEDs and up to 2,000 dimmable zones. According to TCL, this results in a brightness of 1,800 cd / m2. In Europe, the OD Zero technology is used in the 85-inch flagship: the X925 Pro series.

A step lower we see the X925 series again, with 65-inch and 75-inch models. These televisions also use the Mini-LED technique, but a slightly less advanced variant that uses hundreds instead of thousands of zones. This also makes the screen a bit less slim. The 8K resolution is present.

If you go for the 4K resolution, you will end up in the C825 series. These models also use the Mini-LED technique and come in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. In addition, these televisions have a built-in soundbar from Onkyo. Another step lower, we see the C728 series, equipped with direct LED backlighting.

All new TVs from TCL support Dolby Vision, and with the C728 series and above you also get support for it Dolby Vision IQ Bee. HDMI 2.1 is also available for the C728 series and higher. These series receive support for 4K120, eARC, ALLM and VRR. The lower models get HDMI 2.0 ports, which includes support for HDMI eARC and ALLM. Finally, the C728 series and C825 series use Google TV 11.0 as a smart TV platform. The other series are equipped with Android TV 9.0.
