Tado gets Cost Forecasting app function for insight into heating costs: Have you connected a smart thermostat from Tado to your central heating boiler and do you use Auto-Assist? Then you immediately have the new Cost Forecasting app function at your disposal. The feature is part of Tado’s Energy IQ and, according to the manufacturer, is the world’s first solution that establishes a tangible link between heating behavior and actual energy costs. The temperature, settings of the app and data from the electricity or gas meter are linked to special algorithms developed for this new function. What follows is a cost forecast, which allows users to see exactly what they will spend on heating costs this month. And that is of course a bonus in these times of very high energy bills.
Tado continues to work on Energy IQ. In the future it should also be possible to set temperatures and energy-saving functions in detail, whereby the level of heating costs should correspond to personal preferences and comfort. Users can then activate desired and energy-saving functions such as Geofencing in the app, where you can immediately see the result on the heating costs. It is not yet known when this will be available.
