The Herford manufacturer T + A Elektroakustik is expanding its 200 series. T + A takes up the design of the HA 200 headphone amplifier that is already available and sends it from October 2021 a new D / A converter, a multi-source player and a power amplifier into the race.
T + A DAC 200 D / A converter: technology and features
The new DAC 200 from T + A – like all devices in the series, not only available in silver, but also in black
This ambitious DAC / preamplifier comes with a double differential quadruple converter that can process PCM up to 32 bit / 768 kHz as well as DSD1024. It is equipped with a large number of digital inputs (USB, AES / EBU, SPDIF electrical and optical, optional HDMI) – an analog source can also be connected – and has a discrete Class A pre-amp section. The volume is regulated via a relay-controlled resistor network. A discrete headphone amplifier is also on board.
T + A MP 200 multi-source player: many functions on board
The new multi-source player comes with a slot-in drive, a tuner (FM, DAB +) and a Bluetooth receiver; its high-resolution streaming client is Roon-ready and supports Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz. Digital sources have access via USB, optical and coaxial. The specialty: The MP 200 does not have any analog outputs; despite the FM tuner, it is to a certain extent a purely digital source because it only forwards the signals digitally.
T + A A200 stereo power amplifier: flexible use
The new power amplifier from T + A can operate two pairs of loudspeakers at the same time or separately, it comes with a balanced XLR and an unbalanced cinch input as well as an additional XLR out for looping through the signal. It provides 250 watts into 4 ohms or 125 watts into 8 ohms per channel. The technical data read promisingly, for example a frequency response of 1 Hertz to 60 kHz with a maximum deviation of 3 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 113 dB.
All three devices can now be pre-ordered. The prices:
- T + A DAC 200: 5,490 euros
- T + A MP 200: 4,390 euros
- T + AA 200: 3,790 euros
