As the traditional German manufacturer T + A Elektroakustik announced, there will be a personnel change in the development department at the end of the year. The previous development manager Lothar Wiemann is retiring, his long-term deputy Jörg Küpper is moving up.
T + A – generation change
Lothar Wiemann, above right in the picture, has made a name for himself at T + A: under his direction, more than 200 components and loudspeakers were created, for example the AudioCon, HV and R electronics series, as well as the Solitaire and TMR Speaker. As T + A reports on the change, Wiemann’s work was characterized by a good balance between pioneering achievements in analog and digital electronics on the one hand and the constant further development of existing concepts on the other.
Reason enough to retire with a clear conscience – and Wiemann does not remain idle: He is promoted to the in-house fellowship program, a network of selected former employees and external partners. In this way, he remains connected to his colleagues as a valuable advisor.
Jörg Küpper was previously deputy head of the development department. He will take over the operational and strategic management of the overall development from January 2022. Küpper is a qualified electrical engineer and can look back on a 28-year career at T + A, where, among other things, he designed the digital signal processing for T + As D / A converters and digital speakers, but also for the operational introduction of streaming technologies and the software of the current Caruso -Version was responsible.
We wish you continued success!
