The SwitchBot Pan & Tilt Cam is a smart indoor camera that can rotate 360 degrees horizontally for a complete picture of your home. Vertically you can ’tilt’ with an angle of 115 degrees. The camera delivers images in 1080p and has infrared night vision. Two-way communication is possible via the built-in microphone and speaker and motion detection is also present. Storage can be done locally with a micro SD card.
Privacy mode and automatic tracking in SwitchBot Pan & Tilt
The security camera has a privacy mode. Are you at home? Then the camera lens in the housing can turn around, so that you can no longer be recorded. As soon as you leave the house, the camera lens reappears and your house is secured again. You can set and adjust different scenes to adjust the camera to your liking. Note that for advanced functions you also need a SwitchBot Hub Mini Need.
The camera can therefore ‘pan’ 360 degrees and ’tilt’ 115 degrees. Is the camera set to protect and someone walks by? The camera will automatically follow this person, so that you always have a good picture of what is going on. You can simply put the camera down, but you can also hang it upside down from the ceiling as shown in the images. The SwitchBot Tilt & Cam works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can ask your favorite voice assistant to show the live feed on your Echo Show or Nest Hub. You control the camera yourself with the SwitchBot app.
Price and availability
An exact date has not yet been given, but the SwitchBot Pan & Tilt Cam is set to launch next month and will be available through Amazon, among others. The smart security camera will cost 29.99 euros.
