Music streaming service Spotify has announced that it is now possible to operate the service with your voice on the Xbox One console. You can do that via Cortana, for example via the Kinect camera (which can no longer be connected to the Xbox One X without an adapter).

The Spotify application on Xbox One now offers support for voice control via voice assistant Cortana, but for the time being only in the United States (but you can also try it by adjusting the region of your console). When you have a Kinect camera, you can ask Cortana if she wants to play a specific playlist or specific song via your home cinema system. In addition, there are also updates to the design, making it easy to reach the content you are looking for.

Do not have a Kinect camera? No problem. You can also activate the voice control for connecting headphones via the 3.5mm jack on the new generation of Xbox One controllers. This is useful for the people who bought an Xbox One without Kinect at the time, or for the people who have Kinect and an Xbox One X – that console does not have the required port for connecting the camera. If you want to do that anyway, you need a special adapter that Microsoft offers in the digital store.
