Sony introduces LinkBuds S earphones with noise canceling

Sony introduces LinkBuds S earphones with noise canceling which will be available in the Europe from the end of May 2022 for 200 euros.

The LinkBuds S are the successor to the WF-1000XM3. This series stands for compact and lightweight earplugs and connectivity, innovation and sustainability. These models are made from recycled plastic.

The LinkBuds S combine a shape that fits the human ear with an ergonomic design for a more stable fit. The lightweight and small ergonomic design is optimized for comfortable wearing all day long. This model weighs 4.8 grams and according to Sony offers a fit for every type of user. With an IPX4 rating, these earbuds are splash-resistant. A full battery lasts up to 6 hours with noise canceling. A fully charged case provides up to 14 hours of reserve, so that 20 hours of listening pleasure is guaranteed without having to recharge the charging case in between.

Thanks to the ambient sound mode, the user always stays in touch with the environment. At the same time, the earphones offer noise canceling via the Integrated Processor V1. The LinkBuds S are also equipped with Adaptive Sound Control. This technology automatically adjusts the noise reduction per moment of use. While listening to music at the airport, the earplugs optimize noise canceling, but still allow broadcasting messages, for example.

The LinkBuds S offer noise-free calling with a clear display of conversations. Sony’s Precise Voice Pickup technology captures the voice = and processes it with advanced signal processing. Sony’s noise reduction algorithm was developed using AI machine learning and uses more than 500 million voice samples. Ambient noise is suppressed and the voice is clearly distinguished.

The earphones come with a 5 mm driver and support High-Resolution Audio Wireless via LDAC. DSEE Extreme (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) uses Edge AI upscaling to improve the audio quality of compressed digital music files in real time. The Speak-to-Chat features are available in the LinkBuds S. It is based on Precise Voice Pickup technology, which combines four microphones and sensors with audio signal processing. This makes it easy to have short conversations without taking the earbuds out of the ears. By speaking, the earbuds automatically recognize the user’s voice. The music automatically stops and allows ambient noise so that the conversation can be carried on without taking the earbuds out. With Quick Access, the LinkBuds S can be connected to Spotify. Via Spotify Tap, a favorite Spotify list can be started with a single tap of the fingertips.

The earphones support Google’s new Fast Pair feature. This provides easy pairing of the earbuds with Android devices. This function also makes it easy to find the LinkBuds. With Swift Pair, the LinkBuds are easy to connect to a Windows 11 or Windows 10 laptop, desktop PC or tablet.

The LinkBuds S will be available in the Europe from the end of May 2022 for 200 euros. Sony introduces these earplugs in white, black and ecru.
