Sonos only provides its latest speakers from AirPlay 2

Last year Sonos announced that it planned to bring support from Apple’s AirPlay 2 to its speakers. Now, however, it appears that not all Sonos devices are provided for this; only the most recent devices will have the functionality.

AirPlay 2 is an important feature within Apple’s iOS mobile operating system, which allows users of iPhones and iPads to get audio from just about any app to transfer to his speakers. The software is not yet released for the time being – Apple is still busy testing it.

Nevertheless, Sonos has already released a list with the devices that it will provide support for AirPlay 2.
