Add second Sonos Sub

Audio manufacturer Sonos says in a short press release that it is now possible to add a second Sonos Sub to the setup that you have in the living room. For example, have you already linked a Sub to the Sonos Arc, Sonos Beam, Sonos Playbar, Sonos Playbase or Sonos Amp, you can add a second subwoofer of the same brand from this moment on. The new feature is available after a software update that is now being rolled out to all users of the audio systems for the living room.

The Sonos Sub is a convenient option for Sonos users who want to add a bass layer to movies, series, TV shows, and music when the TV is off. The ability to add two Subs is a much requested feature by the brand’s customers and professional installation partners. Adding a second Sub is available in the Sonos S2 app under home theater setups. One of the Subs in the setup will have to be a Sub (Gen 3) which brings the extra processing power. To get this feature, you must download the latest Sonos software and update your system.

The Sub is now available for a suggested retail price of 799 euros. If you want to read more about the subwoofer, you can our review refer to it. It also contains more information about the Sonos Arc and the surround setup with Sonos One speakers.
