Samsung seems to come up with an 83-inch OLED television from LG Display

For some time, Samsung and LG Display have been in talks about a collaboration in which Samsung purchases OLED panels from LG Display. We will finally see the fruits of this collaboration because Samsung is said to be preparing the arrival of an 83-inch OLED television with a panel from LG Display.

Korean media report that we may see an OLED television from Samsung next September with a WOLED screen from LG Display. It is an 83-inch model, and LG Display is currently the only manufacturer that produces OLED screens in this format. The advent of television would be evidenced by the registration of a model called KQ83SC90A. This was spotted at the National Radio Research Institute in South Korea, where Samsung registers new models yearly.

It is striking that the model KQ83SC90A suggests that the television will be part of the S90C series, which goes by the name SC90A in South Korea. In that series, we already see 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch models with a QD OLED screen from Samsung, which may confuse consumers. For now, however, it remains to be seen what Samsung will come up with. We expect to hear more about IFA 2023.
