At the beginning of this year, Samsung – together with Sony – introduced the first QD-OLED televisions. These models are equipped with an OLED panel equipped with a quantum dot filter, which should, among other things, ensure higher brightness and more accurate color reproduction. The first QD OLED televisions came in 55-inch and 65-inch formats, so fans of larger formats had to be patient.
There is a good chance that we will see the first larger formats in the shops next year. According to reports from the usually reliable ET News Samsung will release the first 77-inch QD-OLED television in 2023. The format is not the only ‘improvement’. Samsung would also have improved the black levels, a point that is with the current one S95B series was not always viewed positively.
The new QD OLED televisions for 2023 would also be equipped with the 4K resolution, HDR support, the Tizen smart TV platform, HDMI 2.1 and all other known features from Samsung. We expect more details from the South Korean manufacturer at CES 2023 in Las Vegas.
