Samsung has launched the 98-inch QN990C in its home country of South Korea. This Neo QLED television has an 8K resolution and is a step higher than the existing QN900C models. The screen is an LCD panel made by TCL with mini LED backlighting.
Furthermore, the QN990C comes with a 6.4.4-channel speaker system with a power of 120 watts, support for Dolby Atmos and HDR10 +, and Samsung’s slim ‘Infinite One’ design.
In South Korea, the new model is sold for 35,000 euros, more than 25,000 more expensive than the 4K variant in the same size.
We expect to receive more information about availability for the European market at the end of this month, during IFA 2023. In addition, Samsung will probably present its first OLED televisions with an OLED panel from LG Display.
