The Sky series Das Boot will soon be in its third season. In itself nothing new under the sun, but Samsung is involved. The makers work together with the Korean tech giant every other season of Das Boot in 8K to film. Perfect for 8K televisions, which can still count on little 8K content.

People with a Sky Q subscription and a television capable of this can watch the third season of the German war series in 8K. The first two seasons of the series, which is a sequel to the 1981 film Das Boot, were already available in 4K UHD image quality.
Producer Bavaria Fiction indicates that with a Samsung Smart TV you can count on an even sharper 8K viewing experience, complete with vivid sound, thanks to Dolby Atmos sound technology. It promises “breathtaking and visually engaging high-end production using the latest innovative technology”.
