Samsung smartphone plans in 2021
Samsung recently released a blog post published in which the company looks back to 2020 and looking forward to 2021. The blog post was written by the director of the mobile department, Mr. TM Roh. For example, Roh confirms that the first plans will be announced in January of 2021. Rumors about January already appeared earlier: that is the month that the Galaxy S21 should appear. Roh does not literally confirm the arrival of that smartphone, but given its position and the persistence of the rumors, it is very likely that the rumor is correct.
Roh is also discussing other plans, for example regarding foldables (foldable smartphones). Earlier this week, it came out different smartphone manufacturers are working on a large number of foldables, including Samsung. Roh shares the news that more foldables will appear in 2021, but unfortunately does not say anything about which models we can expect. Foldable smartphones that have hit the rumor mill include the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Fold Lite, Z Flip 2, and even the Z Flip Lite – but rumors don’t always agree on the lineup so far.
Roh also announced that Samsung intends to bring some functions of the Galaxy Note series to other smartphone series of the company. For example, there is the idea that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can be operated with an S Pen. It is not a confirmation, but it therefore seems that we will indeed be there next year without a new Galaxy Note must do. Rumors about this have also appeared before and they seem to be correct in the meantime. The reason: the foldable smartphones could take on the role of the Note series.
Finally, the Samsung CEO says that the company will focus on cameras in 2021, in particular on making videos with your smartphone. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is a smartphone that has been praised for its camera technology, so it’s interesting to see what the company has in store.
