Like its smaller brothers, the 85-inch version of The Terrace is intended for outdoor use, for example, on the terrace. The television can be hung on the wall and has an IP56 certification, a new water and dust resistance feature category.
The television is a Neo QLED model, which means that Samsung uses mini LED backlighting and a quantum dot filter. According to Samsung, this also provides a higher brightness, which offers extra benefits, especially outdoors. To minimize reflections, a film layer has also been applied, especially for outdoor use.
Samsung equips the TV with a Base-T receiver so that all HDMI sources can supply their data to the TV via a single LAN cable. The model is also equipped with HDR10 +, the Samsung Quantum Processor 4K, Tizen Smart TV including the Gaming Hub, WiFi, Bluetooth, and HDMI 2.1. The supplied remote control can charge itself when light falls on it.
The 85-inch version of The Terrace will soon be sold in the United States for $ 20,000. It is not yet known whether the TV will also come to Europe.
