The manufacturer Rotel announces in a current press release that three stereo integrated amplifiers from the Rotel range will probably be available in an MK2 version from July 2021 – these are by no means cosmetic updates, instead, all three amps are significantly on Inner workings have been filed. According to Rotel, the upgrades should involve various adjustments and innovations in the circuit design down to the component level.
Rotel amplifiers : Rotel A14 MKII innovations
The MKII version of the Rotel A14 has been given a new D / A converter from Texas Instruments that can process music material up to 32 bit / 384 kHz. In addition, various optimizations have been incorporated into the DAC output filter, signal processing and power supply.

This integrated amplifier is now also equipped with the new Texas Instruments DAC. Further optimizations concern the coupling and filter capacitors as well as the power supply unit – among other things, this should result in an even wider and deeper sound stage with better locatability of the sound sources.

Numerous improvements have also been made here. The Class A / B amp, declared with 200 watts at 8 ohms, received twelve new coupling capacitors with improved frequency response and lower tolerances in addition to the Texas Instruments DAC upgrade. A total of 28 components and parts were also replaced in the signal path. The result – as the press release says: controlled and dynamic bass, high fine resolution and the finest reproduction of sound nuances.
All MKII versions will be available in silver and black and come with remote control and intelligent switch-on controls.
