Yesterday the news came out that the release date of Mega Man 11 had surfaced in the PlayStation Store of Singapore, namely October 3. Capcom has now announced the official release date and it does not match what we could report yesterday. It does not matter, however, because release date of Mega Man 11 will be released on October 2.
Mega Man 11 will largely follow his predecessors, but some innovations have been made. For example, there is now a ‘weapon wheel’ that allows you to quickly switch between the forces you get when you defeat bosses. The blue robot also has access to the ‘Double Gear System’. This makes it possible to influence the power and speed of Mega Man for a certain time. The possibilities you have are as follows:
• Speed Gear – Introduces the ability to slow the flow of time, as well as navigating tricky platforming sections or avoiding fast-moving enemies or obstacles.
• Power Gear – Mega Buster to a new level, and weapon-based abilities become even more robust.
• Double Gear – When at critical health, Mega Man will gain access to both gears simultaneously, unleashing maximum power and allowing for deft maneuvers in the direst situations.
A new trailer for Mega Man 11 has also been released and shows, among other things, the innovations in the game.
