Reavon UBR-X100 & UBR-X200 – Ultra HD Blu-ray players launched

Reavon launched two new universal Ultra HD Blu-ray players named Reavon UBR-X100 and Reavon UBR-X200 which play almost anything.

The Reavon UBR-X100 and UBR-X200 are, according to the company itself, universal Blu-ray players, which simply means that they can play almost anything. That may also be what the prices start at 800 euros. For that price, they should deliver premium audio and video performance.

The Reavon UBR-X100 and UBR-X200 are compatible with HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD, SACD and CD. There is also support for it Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. There are two HDMI ports. This allows you to use one port for video and one port for audio if desired. Furthermore, WiFi (with DLNA) is available and you can play a large number of multimedia files (MKV, WMA, WAVE, FLAC, DSD, JPG). Both players come with a remote control that has a backlight for the keys.

The main difference between the two models is that the UBR-X200 is more focused on high audio performance. This model comes with additional analog outputs and components for better audio reproduction, including Texas Instruments Burr-Brown Audio PCM1690 DACs, a 24-Bit Delta-Sigma DAC and Custom Audiophile Capacitors.

The new Ultra HD Blu-ray players should be for sale from April. In Germany, the UBR-X100 will be priced at 800 euros, while the UBR-X200 will cost 1,600 euros. Whether the players will also come to the Netherlands and Belgium is not yet clear.
