As a brand, Poco really wants to appeal to young tech enthusiasts. This time they want to do that with two ‘all-in fun’ smartphones. The Poco M5 for gamers and the Poco M5s for entertainment enthusiasts.
Poco M5
The Poco M5 has a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset on board with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage memory. There are other variations, but they don’t seem to be on the market here. The device has a 6.58-inch Full HD+ Display of 90Hz. The cameras consist of a 50 megapixel main camera, a two megapixel depth sensor and a two megapixel macro camera. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports 18W fast charging.
Poco M5s
The Poco M5s is just a step up from the regular M5. Partly then, because this device has an AMOLED screen of 6.43 inches with a Full HD resolution. The chipset is a MediaTek Helio G95 and seems to be a step back from the M5. The cameras seem to be a step better with a 64 megapixel main camera and eight megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. Two depth sensors calculate the depth. The selfie camera is a thirteen megapixel camera. The battery also has a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
Price and availability
The Poco M5 is available in the colors black, green and yellow. The basic version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage memory costs 189.90 euros. The version with 128 GB storage memory will cost 209.90. During the early bird sale from September 12 to 17, the price is 169.90 euros and 189 euros respectively.
The Poco M5s is available in the colors grey, white and blue. Choose from 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage for 229.90 euros. The version with 128 GB will cost 249.90 euros. During the early bird from September 12 to 17, the price is respectively 199.90 euros and 219 euros.
