Sony has announced that users can Download games with PlayStation now. Users of PlayStation can download certain PS4 and PS2 games. So you no longer have to stream every game from that library to your PlayStation 4 game console.

Download games with PlayStation Now

When you take the Game Pass subscription with an Xbox One at home, you can unlimited download games available within this subscription. People with a PlayStation 4 in house could not do this yet, as the alternative, PlayStation Now, only allowed gamers to stream games. That is now changing, Sony has announced. A download function is being rolled out to the service, which allows you to download PS 4 and PS 2 games.

The new download feature, available from this week, can be used for hundreds of blockbusters, exclusive PS games and remastered PS2 classics. PS4 titles, including Bloodborne, God of War 3 Remastered, Sniper Elite 3, DiRT Rally and Farming Simulator 17 can be played with a native resolution of up to 4K and 5.1 surround sound when downloaded. All downloaded games on PlayStation Now support DLC, microtransactions, add-ons and PS4 Pro enhancements.
