Pioneer launches VSX-LX503 and VSX-LX303 AV receivers

Pioneer introduces two new AV receivers in early June; the VSX-LX303 and VSX-LX503. Both models support Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, and of course come with a wide range of streaming options.

The Pioneer VSX-LX503 is the more advanced model of the two with 11-channel amplification. A 7.2.4-channel loudspeaker arrangement can be connected to this. The VSX-L303 has to do with 9 channels, which means a 7.2.2 set-up or a 5.2.4 set-up. If you use a standard 5.1.2 or 5.1 setup, you can use the other connections for a second or third zone.

Both receivers offer HDMI ports with support for HDR, on the form from Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Support for 4K Ultra HD and BT.2020 is also available. In the field of streaming we see WiFi back, with access to streaming services like Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music. In addition, you have access to Bluetooth, AirPlay, built-in Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi . Play-Fi can be used to set up a multiroom system. The possibilities are further enhanced by FlareConnect with which various (wireless) systems speakers can be connected to the receiver.

The VSX-L503 has a capacity of 180 Watts per channel at 6Ohm, the VSX-L303 has a capacity of 170 watts per channel. The prizes amount to 1,099 euros and 799 euros respectively, and both models come in both black and silver.
