Philips Lighting today launched a new member of the Philips Hue family: the Philips Hue Motion Sensor. With the help of this motion sensor, Hue lamps are now controlled based on movement.
The sensitive sensor ensures that lamps switch on within half a second after the movement. There is no switch anymore.
Smart sensor
Thanks to a built-in daylight sensor, the motion sensor knows whether there is enough light in the room. The lamps are only switched on when needed. Besides the fact that it provides energy savings, the sensor also offers comfort. A room is brightly lit at night when someone enters with full hands. On the other hand, the dimmed light switches on when you go to the toilet at night.
Philips Hue Motion Sensor
Setting up the Philips Hue Motion Sensor is simple: it works on batteries, is completely wireless, magnetic and easy to orient. The sensor is directly connected to the Philips Hue App and is integrated into the Philips Hue lighting system. 12 sensors can be connected to the Philips Hue Bridge to cover all rooms in the house. The motion sensor can be placed in various places in the house or mounted on the wall or ceiling. The new Philips Hue Motion Sensor will be available from the beginning of November 2016 at a suggested retail price of EUR 39.95. Also read our Philips Hue review.
