Philips announces OLED803

In about a month and a half the time has come; IFA 2018 will start again in Berlin. True to tradition TP Vision shows the latest Philips TVs here and we seem to be able to expect a lot of beautiful things this year. However, Philips announces OLED803, again.

The Philips OLED803 OLED TV was shown to the public last January during a Philips event in Amsterdam. Yet the TV has not yet appeared on the market, but that has to be done this year. TP Vision has confirmed that the OLED803 will be announced during OFA 2018, including a renewed P5 processor.

The new oled TV comes in a 55-inch and 65-inch format, and therefore has an improved version of the P5 processor announced last year. In addition, the television comes with everything that you can expect from a premium device, including HDR support (HDR10, HLG and HDR10+), Android TV software, the 4K resolution and Ambilight on three sides. The design has not changed compared to the model that was shown in January. The models come without a visible audio system. Instead, the speakers, including three woofers, can be found on the back of the TV. The foot is simplistic and sleek, with the Philips footprint subtle on the left foot.

On 30 August, TP Vision is holding a major press conference in Berlin and of course we are there to report directly.
