Panasonic announced four new Ultra HD Blu-ray players early this year, including the DP-UB9004. This top model includes support for Dolby Vision and comes with a THX certificate. This week Panasonic announced the price and availability of the UB9004.
Panasonic DP-UB9004 Ultra HD Blu-ray player
The Panasonic DP-UB9004 is the successor of the DMP-UB900 one of the first premium UHD players of the brand. The DP-UB9004 is a universal AV player that supports both HDR10 + and Dolby Vision technology and displays Ultra HD Blu-ray, Video-on-Demand (VOD) and USB content . In addition, the player has the Hollywood Cinema Experience (HCX) processor for better image processing. And, the THX certificate has also been pulled out of the box for the new player.
Although the image quality is very good according to Panasonic, the company mainly focuses on the audio quality. This is due to the analog audio circuits, such as a special audio power supply, a D / A converter and balanced XLR output. The UB9004 has a new, vibration-reducing frame that is very stiff and has a low center of gravity.
The UB9004 supports analog 7.1-channel sound for a direct connection to a home theater system. In addition, the connection of the UB9004 is gilded to prevent oxidation and ensure good signal conduction. In addition to traditional WAV / FLAC / MP3 / AAC / WMA formats, DSD (11.2 MHz / 5.6 MHz / 2.8 MHz) and ALAC and AIFF music files can also be displayed.
The Panasonic’s ultra HD Blu-ray players for 2018 support voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. All you have to do is talk to an existing device that supports Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to advance or pause a movie. A remote control is not necessary here.
