Panasonic 2022 TV line-up with LZW2004 top model

Panasonic 2022 TV line-up with LZW2004 top model. The new Panasonic televisions should be in stores from July 2022.

Panasonic today presented the TV line-up for 2022. Panasonic is the last of the major manufacturers to let you know which models we can expect in the Netherlands this year. The information also applies to Belgium, but with slightly different model numbers. Read on for all models, specifications and prices.

Panasonic has reduced the line-up for this year to six series, of which four OLED TV series and two LCD LED TV series. The top model for 2022 is the LZW2004 series (in Belgium the LZ2000 series), equipped with the best OLED panel and extra speakers for a Dolby Atmos experience.

The 2022 TVs feature new gaming features such as Game Control Board and low-latency enhancements for 60Hz gaming. In addition, HDMI 2.1 with gaming features is now available on the entire 2022 OLED TV range, regardless of screen size. The LXW944 (LX940) LCD LED TV also supports Game Control Board and HDMI 2.1. All OLED models feature the latest 2022 screen configurations, which improves brightness and color volume. LCD LED models from the LXW944 series and above are equipped with the HCX Pro AI processor and automatically adjust the color temperature to best match the image to the ambient light. Furthermore, all OLED models support the Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode. My Home Screen 7.0 is also available as a smart TV platform.

gaming

Game Mode Extreme from Panasonic shows some improvements on all oled tvs and the LXW944 series. This includes supporting key HDMI2.1 features such as High Frame Rate (HFR) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) at 120 Hz in full 4K resolution. Thanks to the support of VRR, potential console problems such as judder and tearing can be avoided. When VRR is on, the TV and console synchronize the frame rate for a smoother picture. The Game Control Board feature brings all relevant settings and information together in one place and displays them as an overlay over the game. This means that gamers don’t have to close their game to access it. In addition, the function can be programmed to be accessed at the touch of a remote control by assigning it to the customizable my App button.

The 60Hz Refresh Mode improves latency and input lag for 60Hz games on OLED TVs. This significantly reduces the stress during gaming for gamers who want fast reaction speeds, especially in action games. In addition, all OLED TVs and the LXW944 series are provided with the AMD FreeSync Premium Support certificate. Finally, the LXW944 series has a 120Hz screen.

Image Optimizations

All OLED TVs and the LXW944 series use sensors to measure the color temperature of the ambient light and adjust the image accordingly. This new function builds on the Auto AI mode that Panasonic introduced last year. The feature uses artificial intelligence to determine in real time what type of content is being played to automatically optimize picture and sound quality. The AI sensors for ambient light brightness and color temperature work together with the HCX Pro AI processor in the TVs to adjust each color tone individually based on the ambient light. Furthermore, in 2022, Panasonic expanded adaptive control by also adding Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode to support automatic image processing depending on the ambient light in the room.

Dolby Atmos

In addition to 360° Soundscape on the LZW2004 series that enables a Dolby Atmos effect, the LZW2004 series introduces directional sound. The LZW2004 series not only offers the surround sound (via built-in up-, side- and forward-facing speaker units), but also features the new Front Array speaker system, which directs the sound. This enables accurate and clear sound and sound focusing. LZT1506 series models (65-inch and 55-inch only) feature Dynamic Cinema Surround Pro, a sound system that supports Dolby Atmos and uses a built-in woofer. The LZT1506 (excluding the 65-inch and 55-inch), LZW1004 and LZW984 series have Cinema Surround Pro, which also supports Dolby Atmos. The LXW944 series features Cinema Surround and the LXW834 series features enhanced surround sound.
