ONKYO TX-RZ70: sound experiences elevated to maximum power

The firm’s new AVR receiver elevates home entertainment experiences to the maximum power. A state-of-the-art equipment that stands out for having 11 amplification channels, two subwoofer outputs, THX certification, Dirac Live room correction system and ESS Saber Premium 32-bit DAC. In addition, it is compatible with all the functions of the HDMI 2.1 connectors and offers excellent connectivity with streaming services.

Magnetrón brings the firm’s new product to the Spanish market Onkyo: TX-RZ70.

Designed for the most demanding users, this AVR receiver stands as the most advanced model of the brand, capable of providing stellar audio performance and studio-level processing, allowing you to enjoy music, movies and games to the fullest.

The new Onkyo TX-RZ70 It is capable of amplifying 11 channels and working with two subwoofers. It offers a power of 140 watts per channel (as specified, with all 11 channels driven) with Class AB amplification, which allows a 7.2.4 system to be mounted without the need for external amplification. Two additional wired zone outputs are also provided to support zone 2 and zone 3 controllable two-channel stereo configurations.

Multiple inputs and wireless connectivity

In terms of connectivity, it stands out for being equipped with six HDMI 2.1 inputs compatible with the latest functions (4K/120 Hz, 8K/60Hz, VRR, ALLM, QFT and dynamic HDR); as well as two 8K HDMI outputs, one of them compatible with eARC, and an HDMI 2.0 port. It also has Pre-out outputs for all channels, two coaxial inputs, two optical inputs, a Phono input, several analog inputs, and even a component input.

On the other hand, wirelessly it has Bluetooth (compatible with aptX HD) WiFi, AirPlay 2 and integrated Chromecast. In addition, it is compatible with Apple Music, Amazon HD, Spotify Connect, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, Tune-In and, in addition, in the future it will be a Roon Ready device (via firmware update).

Onkyo TX-RZ70 supports 24-bit/192kHz High-Resolution Audio playback and is compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and Auro 3D (available June 2023).

The new receiver also stands out for incorporate the Dirac Live room correction system and include a fully licensed, broadband version, which translates into better tuning of the loudspeakers taking into account the conditions of each user’s room. To this is added that Dirac Live Bass Control may also be available through a paid update.

Finally, it features Onkyo’s Accuroom EQ calibration system, which requires no internet connection to work, and Klipsch Optimize mode, which allows for easy integration of Klipsch Reference Premiere loudspeakers by implementing precise crossover values.
