With software version 9.1 Nvidia Shield new update, the Nvidia Shield is equipped with various new features, security updates and various fixes. The most important innovations are the addition of Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and a Night mode.

Thanks to HDMI Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), connected TVs are automatically switched to the most optimal picture mode for playing games. The Night mode allows you to enjoy movies and series without waking up sleeping family members.

In addition, the update brings IMAX Enhanced support for Disney +, so that you can view the Marvel movies in a 1.90:1 aspect ratio, among other things. There is also now “AI” upscaling support for 60Hz HDR10 video and you can turn off HDR and Dolby Vision if your TV does not support this.
