News from NuPrime: The American-Taiwanese manufacturer is introducing two exciting digital components – a streaming bridge and a CD drive.
Streaming Bridge: NuPrime Stream-9
The new NuPrime Stream-9 works as a rather sociable streaming bridge: In addition to streaming via LAN / WLAN and Bluetooth aptX HD, playback via S / PDIF (coaxial and optical) is also possible. The Stream-9 supports Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Music, Spotify, Qobuz, Tidal and Deezer as streaming services as well as UPnP and DLNA for music from the in-house network.
The signal is output either via AES / EBU, optical or coaxial S / PDIF or in I²S format. With the integrated sample rate converter, incoming PCM signals can be converted into DSD format, among other things. The price of the NuPrime Stream-9 is included 1,100 euros.
CD transport: NuPrime CDT-9
This pure CD transport comes with a vibration-damped single-speed drive for the most exact possible scanning of the CDs. Here, too, upsampling up to 24 bit / 768 kHz or a DSD-256 conversion is possible. A sophisticated power supply and a master clock control from Philips should minimize jitter and background noise. The sampled digital signal can be picked up via AES / EBU, S / PDIF coaxial, Toslink or I²S. The NuPrime CDT-9 costs 1,100 euros.
The Audium sales department currently offers a discount for “early bookers” who order both devices in a bundle – here go to the offer.
