Bowers & Wilkins, the renowned British brand specializing in premium audio, launches the Px7 S2e, an evolved edition of its award-winning Px7 S2 wireless headphones with active noise cancellation.
Bowers & Wilkins has built a reputation for making headphones that deliver the most detailed, natural, and immersive sound available – the True Sound that the artist seeks. The new Px7 S2e is the latest addition to the British brand’s prestigious range of premium headphones, all designed with the same True Sound philosophy.
Optimized for even better sound quality
The key to the Px7 S2e’s outstanding new level of sound quality is extensively improved DSP (Digital Signal Processing) circuitry that has been optimized by Bowers & Wilkins to deliver exceptional performance with all types of streaming music, including services that offer 24-bit high-resolution sound. The updated DSP has also allowed Bowers & Wilkins engineers to re-tune the Px7 S2e’s acoustic platform to provide unparalleled detail, dynamics, and spaciousness.
The Px7 S2e continues to use custom-designed 40mm drivers specifically created to meet the requirements of headphone listening. These transducers exhibit an ultra-fast response, allowing them to faithfully reproduce all the nuances of any piece of music while maintaining extremely low distortion, resulting in a more precise sound presentation. The transducers are also carefully angled on the inside of each earcup to ensure a constant distance to the user’s ear from any point on the surface of each transducer, again producing a more natural and immersive sound scene.
The Px7 S2e combines this enhanced DSP configuration and high-performance drivers with Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive wireless technology to automatically optimize music streaming from compatible phones, tablets, and computers. USB-C cable connections and 3.5 mm plug connections are also supported, with both types of cables included in the carrying case that accompanies the product.
Cancel unwanted noise, not your favorite music
The Px7 S2e uses Bowers & Wilkins exclusive optimized noise cancellation technology to effectively suppress unwanted noise without compromising musicality. Six enhanced high-performance microphones work together to provide the best possible results: two measure the output level of each transducer, two react to ambient noise from the outside world, and two provide outstanding vocal clarity with enhanced noise suppression to ensure crystal clear phone calls. Careful positioning and tilting of these microphones enhances performance in even the noisiest environments.
Bowers & Wilkins Music App, for total control
Like all wireless products recently released by Bowers & Wilkins, the Px7 S2e works directly with the Bowers & Wilkins Music App for seamless control, configuration, and a pristine user experience. The Music App can be used to pair the Px7 S2e with a wide range of Bluetooth mobile devices, fine-tune the sound using adjustable equalization, activate or deactivate the noise cancellation mode to allow more or less noise from the outside world to pass through, and finally, monitor the battery charge levels of the headphones. The Music App also includes direct music streaming from supported streaming platforms, including Deezer.fm, NTS Radio, Qobuz, TIDAL, and TuneIn, with more to come soon. The Music App can also be used with other Bowers & Wilkins products, such as the Zeppelin, giving users a remarkably seamless experience when switching between headphones and wireless audio systems.
Physical controls are also included on each helmet, ensuring full control even without the App. At the same time, users can also use the Px7 S2e to wirelessly activate their mobile phone’s Voice Assistant at the touch of a button. Equipped with a 30-hour battery life, the Px7 S2e can run all day – even longer – on a single charge, while a quick 15-minute recharge is enough to provide up to seven hours of additional listening time. Android device users can also benefit from Google Fast Pair, with automatic support for Google’s Find My Device service, if they lose their headphones.
Premium finishes, extreme comfort
Finally, to further celebrate the evolved design of the Px7 S2e, let’s highlight that they are available in four premium finishes: Anthracite Black, Ocean Blue, Cloud Gray, and Forest Green, all equipped with revised details and high-quality materials. They have been carefully designed for comfortable, long listening. The new model maintains its slim overall shape and lightweight and luxurious memory foam ear cushions to perfectly encapsulate and protect the user’s ears so they can enjoy the ultimate comfort no matter how long the session lasts. Listening.
