Nintendo and Niantic are working on an AR game starring Pikmin. Pokémon Go developer Niantic has announced that the company is once again partnering with Nintendo for a new augmented reality game. This time the game series Pikmin is used as a basis. That is a game series that first appeared on the GameCube game console.

Pikmin’s augmented reality game should be released sometime in 2021, Niantic and Nintendo make known. The game is designed to get people to walk, just as happened with the games based on Pokémon and Harry Potter. The last Pikmingame released was Pikmin 3 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch. This is a re-release of a Wii U game released in 2013.
At the time of writing, little is known about Niantic’s new project. Nintendo, however, has announced that the company’s technology ensures that “you can experience the world around you as if it actually lived in Pikmin.”
