Together with her partner in crime Lou Miller (Cate Blanchett) she composes a team of specialists, consisting of: jewelry maker Amita (Kaling), street lighting agent Constance (Awkwafina), fence expert Tammy (Paulson), hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna) and fashion designer Rose (Bonham Carter).
The purpose of this robbery is to steal $ 150 million diamonds during the event of the year; the Met Gala. However, the diamonds do shine around the neck of the world famous actress Daphne Kluger (Hathaway), the shining center of the evening.
The plan is watertight but the team can not make a mistake to come in and go unnoticed again with the booty.
