New Innr Wi-Fi lamps do not need a bridge for connection

Innr has announced new lamps. These New Innr Wi-Fi lamps are not based on the Zigbee platform, so no bridge is needed to connect. This makes them good entry-level models for spaces where little lighting is required, according to Innr.

New Innr Wi-Fi lamps with smart functions

The offer will initially consist of only two models. It is a model that can only show white light and an RGB version that can handle no less than 16 million colors. Both models have a large fitting (E27) and are intended for the replacement of indoor light bulbs. They can be controlled via a WiFi connection with the accompanying Innr for WiFi app. This app is currently only intended for these new products, but will later also be usable with lamps that work with the Zigbee platform. With the app you can, for example, have your lamps simulate a sunrise, so that you wake up in a more natural way. It is also possible to set a time slot.

Due to the use of the WiFi connection, the manufacturer does not recommend using more than ten lamps of this kind. Otherwise, communication between the lamps and the controlling device may be disrupted. Lamps located in the same room can be linked in scenes, so that they react to each other. Furthermore, they can also be controlled by voice commands via the Google Assistant or Amazon’s Alexa. Innr will sell the lamps in pairs. The package with model number WRB 765-2 concerns the white LED lamps and costs about 25 euros. The package with the RGB models bears the name WRB 785 C-2 and has a suggested retail price of 30 euros. The release date is not yet known, but it will probably be this year.
