Smarthome is not only for people, but also for animals. MyQ now comes with the Pet Portal, a smart cat flap with camera and sensors.
The Pet Portal is not only the cat flap itself, but you also buy a door from Kolbe. It is therefore not a small cat flap, because animals of 5 to 45 kilos can enter. Your dog (and possibly a child) is therefore no problem.
The prices are therefore not bad, because they start from $ 2,999. The smart cat flap is incorporated in Kolbe’s door. You control this hatch with the accompanying app and also comes with a camera and two-way audio to see who is in front of the hatch. The Pet Portal therefore comes with a video doorbell for your pet, handy! This way you let your own cat or dog in, but you leave those of the neighbors outside.
For the real enthusiast there is a bluetooth sensor on the collar. This communicates with the hatch when the animal is at the door. This way your own pet can always go in or out and everything remains locked away from the other animals. You don’t have to worry about your pet getting stuck, because the MyQ Pet Portal comes with various safety systems.
Price and availability of MyQ Pet Portal
Prices start from $ 2,999, but can go up to $ 4,499. You can put it together in various materials and colors. The MyQ Pet Portal will be available from Spring 2021 and can be purchased at website of the company. Delivery in our country is unfortunately not (yet) possible.
