Moonriver 505 Phono Stage

Introducing Moonriver 505 Phono Stage- it is designed in dual mono operation. Each stage has its own power supply, including a linear discrete regulator circuit and a discrete noise rejection circuit.

The 505 Hybrid Phono Stage

The Moonriver Audio 505 phono stage meets all the needs of any discerning audiophile who loves vinyl records, both now and in the future. Designed with audiophiles, record collectors, and vinyl fans in mind, it features 4 inputs for all your turntables, arms, and cartridges. It also supports all possible on-the-fly adjustments with dedicated knobs and switches to fit your MC or MM cartridge ideally.

The unique adjustment feature of the Moonriver 505 hybrid phono stage allows for “on the fly” listening testing with various settings without the need to power off, remove the cover, power on again, and wait for it to warm up.

The hybrid design combines integrated and discrete solid-state circuits to form an ideal, high-performance, ultra-low-noise circuit. While IC op amps offer very low noise levels, a discrete circuit offers realistic driving and dynamics that are impossible to obtain with IC op-amps.

Regarding the sonic signature of all Moonriver Audio products, we strive to balance the fine line between musicality and resolution. The soul of music is in the media; this is where most of life’s emotion, passion, and joy are contained.

Technically, it is within the frequency band of 200 – 4,000Hz. Music sounds thin, brittle, and often unattractive without a solid foundation beneath the mids. If the brain perceives that the sound is artificial, it is difficult to get carried away by the message contained in the music.

.

Likewise, accurate reproduction of timbre is essential. A New York Steinway has notable sonic differences from a Hamburg Steinway, while a Guarneri violin sounds different from a Stradivarius. To capture all those nuances, speakers and electronics must act in unison without obscuring or exaggerating details.

The sound and level of performance of the Moonriver 505 phono stage is difficult to describe and has to be heard to be believed.
