We know Sensibo from the Pure air purifier, but the manufacturer started mainly in the field of smart air conditioners. The original Air made your air conditioner smart. Now there is the new Sensibo AirQ. This one is similar to the original, but adds some sensors to measure air quality.
The Sensibo AirQ completely replaces the original Air. The design also looks exactly the same. A small difference is the logo. What is really different about the new model is the addition of two new sensors. The original Air already had a temperature and humidity sensor on board. A TVOC sensor (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) and a C02 sensor have now been added. So you can also measure the air quality at the same time.
What exactly does a smart controller for your air conditioning have to do with harmful substances? Well, nothing really. You’re supposed to pair it with the company’s Pure air purifier, so you have a smart air purifier in addition to a smart air conditioner.
The Sensibo AirQ basically replaces the IR remote control of your air conditioner. In principle, the device should be able to operate any air conditioner, as long as it comes with a remote control. You can then control it smartly via the app, but also via Apple HomeKit. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are also supported.
